There are four opening prayers at the Sunday Eucharist: English, Korean, Spanish, and Kanjobal (a Mayan dialect.) The Apostles' Creed is on page 162 in the Gather Book. At the Greeting of Peace, Peace be with you is added in Hebrew and Arabic as our prayer for peace in the Holy Land.

Envelopes for contributions to decorate the sanctuary for Easter are in the lobby. Please place in the collection basket by April 5.

The next church cleaning will be on Monday, April 6, at 5 P.M. Volunteers are needed! Enter the church from the northeast door. Everyone is invited to help and supplies will be furnished. Call Midge at 378-9660 for more information.

The 18 Catholic Churches in our area will each display their banner at Catholic Connected: Beyond the Pew, a gathering with Bishop Jenky on Wednesday,

The Jewish Seder is a sacred ritual meal that commemorates the Passover Meal eaten by the Hebrew people in Egypt as they prepared to escape their slavery under the Pharaoh. It remembers how God, through the Exodus, freed the Hebrew people when Moses led them through the Red Sea. The Last Supper was celebrated in the context of the Passover Meal by Jesus and his companions who had experienced the Passover Meal many times as devout Jews. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about the Passover and especially to learn the context for the Christian Eucharist, our Paschal Meal. The St. Mary Parish Paschal Meal will be held on the Tuesday of Holy Week, April 7, at 6 P.M. in the parish center. This meal is intended for all members and friends of St. Mary Parish: young and old, families and singles. Please invite your friends to join us. This event allows us to gather our whole community together to share a meal. Please make plans to participate! Tickets are needed in !
advance
and will be available after Mass in the lobby. The price of the meal will be $6 for adults, $4 for children 6-12 years old, and free for children
under 6. Volunteers are needed to help prepare the meal after Mass on Sunday, April 5, set-up at 4 P.M. on Tuesday, April 7, and clean-up after the meal. Sign-up sheets are in the lobby.

2nd Annual Taste of St. Mary, organized by the Korean Catholic Student Association, will be after Mass on Sunday, April 19. In addition to gathering together as a family for lunch, this will be an opportunity to raise money for the St. Mary Church Calavera Fund. Volunteer cooks are needed to feature their own ethnic cuisine. Contact Noel Hansu Na at 553-0962 for more information.

Jesus in Disguise, this year's Catholic Relief Services Collection theme, reminds us that Christ is present in those who suffer – and in those who respond compassionately to their needs. This collection funds Catholic organizations that carry out God's work around the world – providing refugee resettlement, HIV/AIDS and international poverty relief, advocacy for the promotion of global peace and justice, and emergency and disaster relief. Envelopes are in the lobby.

The regular meeting of the Catholic Worker Community will be held on Saturday, April 4, at the Annex, 314 Cottage Court, Champaign. We begin with Mass at 8 A.M. followed by the open meeting at about 8:45 or 9 (pastry, coffee and orange juice, too). Our guests are particularly vulnerable to the consequences of bad economic times leading us to struggle to decide how to use our limited resources in the best ways. The Catholic Worker steering committee is involved in extensive discussions about where we can best serve. We invite members of this parish to become part of the conversation and would welcome the opportunity to meet if the Saturday time is not possible. Please contact Leigh at 359-9466 or leighe@gmail.com if you want more information or would like to receive our newsletter. If you can volunteer your time and talent, please contact Stevie at 352-5065. The House has no paid staff and depends entirely on the generosity of the community to do its work. Please keep!
