The Jewish Seder is a sacred ritual meal that commemorates the Passover Meal eaten by the Hebrew people in Egypt as they prepared to escape their slavery under the Pharaoh. It remembers how God, through the Exodus, freed the Hebrew people when Moses led them through the Red Sea. The Last Supper was celebrated in the context of the Passover Meal by Jesus and his companions who had experienced the Passover Meal many times as devout Jews. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about the Passover and especially to learn the context for the Christian Eucharist, our Paschal Meal. The St. Mary Parish Paschal Meal will be held on the Tuesday of Holy Week, March 18, at 6 P.M. in the parish center. This meal is intended for all members and friends of St. Mary Parish: young and old, families and singles. Please invite your friends to join us. This event allows us to gather our whole community together to share a meal. Please make plans to participate! Tickets are needed in advance and will be available after Mass in the lobby. The price of the meal is $4 for children, $6 for adults, and $20 for a family. Volunteers are needed to help prepare the meal after Mass on Sunday, March 16, set-up at 4 P.M. on Tuesday, March 18, and clean-up after the meal. Sign-up sheets are in the lobby.

Plants to decorate the sanctuary for Easter can be given in memory or in honor of a loved one for $10. Forms and envelopes are in the lobby. Please place in the collection basket by March 16.

St. Mary Parish Nurse, YangSoon Kim, will provide Blood Pressure Screening on Sat., Mar. 8, and Sun., Mar. 9,

The Catholic Relief Services Collection is one of the most important ways the Catholic community in the United States responds to the needs of those who are suffering, poor, and vulnerable around the world. The theme for this year's collection, Jesus in Disguise, reminds us of the presence of Christ in each one of our brothers and sisters in need. Your generosity is critical to the work of the Church in caring for the vulnerable among us – victims of war, persecution, and poverty. Envelopes are in the lobby.

World Day of Prayer is a worldwide ecumenical movement of women and men of many faith traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer on the first Friday in March each year. Throughout the day, we collectively pray all over the world, beginning with the first sunrise and ending at the last sunset. Our prayers follow the sun's path around the globe. Friday, March 7, 9:30-11 A.M., Bethel AME Church, 401 E. Park St., Champaign, coordinated by Church Women United.

Inter-Religious Dialogue Series aims to bring representatives of many religious traditions from Champaign-Urbana to one place with one purpose – to be better neighbors by understanding each other through faith. Sharing One's Faith is the topic on Thursday, March 6, 7 P.M., Unitarian Universalist Church in Urbana. Flyers are in the lobby.
Catholic Charities will offer an International Adoption Informational Meeting on Thursday, March 6, 6:30 P.M., 1315A Curt Dr., Champaign. Come and learn about your options. RSVP to Kelly at 352-5179.
